Get Ready for the All-School Reunion: July 11 - 13, 2025

Togetherness is a priority in the Madelia area, and it’s time for alumni to get ready for the All-School Reunion, July 11 - 13, 2025! This highly anticipated moment in time is just around the corner, uniting past and present residents and classmates of this close-knit community. 

What started in 1914 by Andrew Benton has become one of the most well-attended summer events, and it wasn’t until 1980 that the All-School Reunion became a decennial event. However, the 2020 pandemic ended the every-ten-year run, causing this reunion to be most special. 

It's been 15 years since the last reunion in 2010. Your presence is more important than ever as classmates and neighbors reunite to reminisce and make up for lost time. 

Adding to the fun, the All-School Reunion takes place alongside the annual Park Days Celebration! After last year’s historic 100-year flood relocated Park Days’ festivities to Main Street, there is much excitement this year as it returns to the scenic beauty of Watona Park - right where the magic belongs. 

All-School Reunion Schedule

To ensure this All-School Reunion is the best one yet, the committee has a host of events for all ages. This year, we’re celebrating classes from 1955 through 2025! Yes, the new graduates are encouraged to party with the eldest and in between.

With such a lengthy list of events, here are few fun moments to look forward to during All-School Reunion Weekend:

Friday, July 11th

• “My Hometown” & “S chool Memories that Last a Lifetime” videos at Madelia Theater (11 am - 4 pm) 
• Grand Parade starting on Drew Ave. (7 pm) 
• IV Play in Watona Park with free admission and food trucks
• Parade After Party & Fireworks Viewing at Bethel Church (8:30 pm) 

Saturday, July 12th

• Madelia Retired & Admired Teacher Hour at Madelia Elementary’s Lunchroom (9:30 - 11 am)
• All-Star Reunion at Becker Stadium (10 am) 
• Everything About Madelia Year Books & Authors at Madelia Library (10:30 am - 1:30 pm)
• All Day Family Fun at Watona Park  (10 am - 6 pm)
• Madelia School Tours (11 am - 1 pm) 
• Watona Park Blues Festival at Watona Park (11:40 am - 8:30 pm)
• All-School Reunion Grand Banquet at Madelia American Legion (4:30 & 6 pm)

 Sunday, July 13th 

• Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast @ Madelia Government Center (7:30 am - 11:00 am) 
• Alumni Committee Meeting at Elementary Gymnasium (1 pm)
• Horse Play & Horse Sense: An Elm Creek Ranch Roundup at Madelia High Auditorium (2 pm)

Again, this is a small list of what’s to come during this festive weekend of nostalgia, community building, and togetherness. Also happening will be food trucks, vendor fairs, a kids’ fun zone, many concerts, and more.

There will be no shortage of entertainment for all ages in the Madelia area July 11 - 13, 2025, at the combination celebration of the All-School Reunion and Park Days. If your travel plans are not set, right now is the time to find lodging and start packing.

It’s been 15 years since the last All-School Reunion. Don’t wait another 10 - 15 years before recalling and reliving the good ole days with amazing people offering amazing vibes.
